This paved the way for the pair to write and record an album together, notably the first time Eno had delivered a collection of song-based recordings since Before And After Science in /5(68).

  2. Eno and Cale take turns at doing lead vocals and it is interesting hearing how each approach the song in hand. The instrumentation is unusual in places, but as per the rest of the thought and effort put into this hook laden album all working towards a most pleasurable end/5(67).

May 10,  · most of Eno and Cale's solo works have been reissued in the last couple years so it would be excellent to see this get the same treatment. one of the best "pop" efforts from both of their careers. if it does get reissued it'll probably be with the CD cover and not the amazing and hilariously dated original sleeve art.4/5().

Sep 17,  · John Cale was busy during this period – also saw the release of his collaboration with Lou Reed, the Andy Warhol tribute, Songs For Drella, and as it turned out, a Velvet Underground reformation was just a couple of years away. By both Cale and Eno’s standards Wrong Way Up is quite a mainstream album. That’s not to dismiss it, rather.
